There’s something about this time of year that always pulls me back into the barn. The light changes just a little…
The air feels different… And suddenly I find myself digging through boxes I haven’t touched since last season. Spring has a way of doing that.

📌A Fresh Look at Old Pieces
This week, while sorting through a few tucked-away corners, I started pulling out pieces that just felt like spring gardening. Not the brand-new, shiny kind… But the well-loved, been-around-a-while kind.
The kind that makes you slow down a bit. Old watering cans with just the right amount of wear. Galvanized buckets that have seen more than a few planting seasons. Little pots and containers that are perfect for herbs on a windowsill.
These are the pieces that don’t just decorate a space — they tell a story.

📌The Charm of Simple Gardening
I’ve always believed that gardening doesn’t have to be complicated.
Sometimes it’s just:
- A handful of seeds
- A small patch of dirt
- And whatever container you have on hand
That’s where these vintage pieces really shine. They’re not perfect — and that’s exactly the point.
A slightly dented watering can… A bucket with a worn handle… Even an old crate turned into a planter…
They bring a kind of charm you just can’t buy new.

📌From the Barn to Your Garden
As I was sorting, I kept setting pieces aside thinking:
“This would be so cute on a porch…”
Or
“This one would be perfect for someone starting a little herb garden…”
Those are the items that will be making their way into the booth and into my Etsy shop over the next few days.
Some are ready to use, Some are more decorative, And a few are those one-of-a-kind finds that I couldn’t pass up.

📌A Little Inspiration for Your Space
If you’re getting ready for spring planting, here are a few simple ideas using vintage finds:
- Use old buckets or tins for patio planters
- Set up a small herb station in mismatched pots
- Add a watering can to your display (functional and pretty)
- Use wooden crates for raised or grouped planting
It doesn’t have to be a full garden… In my area I just plant on the patio – Even a small corner can feel like spring.

📌Looking Ahead
I’ll be adding more of these spring gardening pieces into the booth this week, along with a few handmade signs that tie everything together.
If you’re local, it’s worth stopping by to take a look — things tend to move quickly this time of year.
And if you’re not nearby, I’ll be sharing some of these finds over on Etsy as well.

📌Until Next Time
Are you planting anything this spring? Flowers, herbs, a full garden… or just starting small?
I’d love to hear what you’re working on — or even what kind of vintage pieces you like to use in your space.
There’s more tucked away in the barn, and I have a feeling this is just the beginning of the spring finds.
I’ll share more soon.
