A New Booth, A Lot of Possibilities – Sometimes a new space is just the encouragement you need to get moving on things you’ve been meaning to do. For me, opening a booth at Show Me Twice Indoor Flea Market in Keenesburg was a chance to have a space close to home – and a good reason to start clearing out the barn.
I have plenty of vintage finds waiting for their turn. Getting more of them out of storage and into a place where people can see, enjoy, and buy them was a big part of my decision.
A Good Start
The booth has been going well, I have sold a quilt, duck decoy, beer stein, stickers, and several other small things have already gone home with shoppers.
It’s encouraging to see different kinds of things selling. I’m still getting a feel for what people are drawn to, and each sale helps me decide what to bring in next.
Room to Browse
One thing I’m happy with is how open the space feels. I want people to be able to step inside, look around, and get a closer look at something without feeling crowded.
So far, I haven’t noticed any big challenges. I’m enjoying putting the space together and letting it take shape as things sell and new finds come in.
Keeping Both Booths Fresh
I have a few pieces from my Sugar Mill booth to bring over to Show Me Twice, and I’ll pull more things from the barn to add to Sugar Mill.
Moving inventory between the two locations gives me a chance to change the displays and give pieces a fresh spot. It also keeps me working through what I already have, which was one of my goals from the beginning.
There’s still plenty waiting in the barn, so I won’t be running out of things to bring anytime soon! This new space is already giving me a reason to dig into the barn and get more finds out where people can enjoy them. I’m looking forward to seeing how it changes as things sell and fresh pieces come in.
